I was preparing to debut a video on Judge Bunmi Awoniyi, First Nigerian Woman U.S. Judge.
The video was already edited and ready to go. However, I couldn’t get
the song “Celebrate” by Sheyman out of my head. I reached out to Cos
Canino who used to pitch Sheyman back in the days to me, and actually
pitched him to me with his songs ‘Hello’ and ‘Celebrate.’ He gave me
the green light after speaking with Sheyman. However, I wanted a direct
release from Trybes because I was under the understanding he was signed
to Trybes. So, I contacted eLDee.
It took awfully long just to get a release and to date I do not have
one. eLDee promised to get back to me but I did not hear from him. Since
I was already ready to go, I moved on with it. It seems there might
have been a reason behind the slowness. Sheyman and eLDee it is reported
have now gone their separate ways.
Too many industry breakups folks. While breakups happen, it’s a bit much this year and we are only three months into the year. Choose carefully and in fact, forego signing. Test out relationships first and then go on to the next stage, if you seem to be on the same page. Do not test out without a contract in place. Needless to say, there are no guarantees in life. So, you just go with the flow and roll with the punches. It’s called life. Life happens.

“A year after record label boss eLDee da Don announced the new formation of his new Da Trybe Records, popular producer and sound engineer Ademoye Oluseyi better known as Sheyman has left the clique and parted with the label.
eLDee in February 2012, unveiled a new set of artistes – pop act K9, R&B singer Sojay with music producers Sarz and Sheyman, tagging them Da Trybe 2.0, a revamped squad replacing the original Da Trybe which disbanded many years ago. eLDee also added to the label alternative singer Aramide, female rapper Eva and US returnee Rukus.
Five months after signing to Trybe, Eva and label agreed to dissolve her contract due to multiple differences.
NET recently discovered Sheyman is no longer with the label and we’ve just gotten confirmation from a rep for the singer-producer. ‘Sheyman is in a meeting now. He’s on his own now, doing his thing‘, Sheyman’s PA Damilola told our reporter in a telephone conversation.
