Father arrested for shooting a guest @ the naming ceremony

Organiser of a naming ceremony at Uda Enugu Ezike in Igbo Eze North Local Government Area of Enugu State, Mr Innocent Ugwuanyi has been arrested by the operatives of the Enugu State Police command for allegedly shooting a guest with a double barrel gun during the event yesterday.
It was gathered that the celebrant was organising a naming ceremony for one of his children with a lot of guests, including the victim Sylvester Eke, in attendance.
Eke was allegedly hit by the bullets fired by the celebrant while attempting to get his motorcycle in a bid to leave the arena.
Source said he sustained serious wounds on his legs from the gunshots. Police Public Relations Officers in the state, Ebere Amaraizu, said the prompt intervention of the police save further casualties, stressing that the command was at a loss as to what led to the behaviour of the event organiser.
He said investigation has commenced into incident, adding that the victim was currently receiving treatment at St Hellens Hospital.
