Nigerian Police Uncovers Baby Factory in Enugu {via @234VIBES }


It was gathered that the police, acting on a tip-off stormed the “factory” that is located at No 7 Anyansi Lane, Ogui Enugu where they recovered six pregnant young girls of about seventeen years.

The Enugu state police spokesman, DSP, Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed the arrest to DailyPost gave the names of the pregnant girls as Chioma Eze, Amarachi Okoro, Gloria Okoye, Uzoamaka Lawrence, Nneji Faith and Akpan Juliana.

It was gathered that the pregnant teenagers were smuggled out of their guardians’ home, kept in an enclosed location, where they would give birth to babies.

Amaraizu said that those behind the crime had already negotiated with people who would buy the babies as soon as they are delivered.

According to Amaraizu, “three persons have been arrested in connection with the incident and they gave their names as Lami Lasu, Isha Musa and Anthony Chigbo”.

In a related development, One Marcel Agu and the wife Calista Agu have been arrested by the police in the state for allegedly stealing a 12-day old male child from the mother, Chika Nwokolo who delivered the baby in an unnamed maternity home along Ebony Paint Road Awkunanaw.
